TRIP TO CHINA OCTOBER 2025

Salimatou, 3rd year Fashion Design student, Doriane and Maeve, Mastère Alumni

My trip to China enabled me to discover the country from a whole new angle. I found an incredibly rich territory, combining culture, history, modernity, tradition and creativity. I also took a different look at fashion: the Chinese have a very personal, culturally-rooted way of appropriating trends. They don't hesitate to push their concepts to the limit, without setting themselves any limits.

We had the opportunity to visit factories and see behind the scenes, meet students and teachers at several universities, talk to companies and even design our own hats at a specialist company. The museums, rich in history, the showrooms and the many activities we were able to take part in enabled us to learn even more.

My best memory remains a visit to an ancient village in Zibo. It was a truly breathtaking experience. Far from the modern buildings and hustle and bustle of the big cities, we felt like we were stepping back in time. It was a real break, during which we were able to fully immerse ourselves in the authenticity and depth of Chinese culture.

A CREATIVE IMMERSION IN CHINESE KNOW-HOW

One of the highlights of our trip to China: our students were invited by the Keyone hat company to take part in a hat-making workshop.

A unique experience where they were able to express their creativity alongside passionate professionals.

After the workshop, they were also invited to an exclusive dinner, followed by a fashion show where their creations came to life on the catwalk.

An inspiring and unforgettable experience for our talents!

GENERAL PLANNING

This educational trip to China was conceived as a complete immersion in the heart of a major creative, cultural and industrial ecosystem of contemporary fashion. Taking in Beijing, Zibo, Qufu, Nantong, Hangzhou and Shanghai, students explored the many facets of fashion design and production in China.

Designed as both a cultural and professional immersion, the aim of the trip was to discover the Chinese fashion industry, its know-how, schools and production methods, while nurturing the students' creativity.

By confronting French and Chinese approaches to fashion, this experience also opened up new professional perspectives and reinforced a global and contemporary vision of design.
