
Aim of the program
The fashion industry offers one million direct or indirect jobs in France, and fashion businesses (clothing, accessories, leather, jewelry…) are constantly developing their teams. The sector proposes various careers that bring a devotion to fashion together with marketing, communication and fashion design. It’s an ideal way to transform your love of fashion into a viable career path or entrepreneurial project.
Our BA degree in Fashion Marketing and Retail, taught in Paris, the fashion capital of the world, trains future fashion professionals and key players. From the fashion product’s conception to its development, the course’s focus on knowledge of products, materials and savoir-faire provides students with an incomparable asset. Our team of lecturers, dynamic and composed of active specialists, will allow every student to develop their individual career plan while acquiring the essentials of their future trade.
Professional integration is a core issue at the ISAL’s BA degree in Fashion Marketing and Retail. Every year, company internships allow students to apply knowledge acquired and face market reality in France and abroad. The potential of every student is optimized through professional immersion and active exchange with the lecturers, enabling them to build their own professional network, an indispensable tool in their future career.
Fashion-industry languages, including English, Italian and Chinese, are taught throughout the training, offering students the opportunity to be immersed in the international and multi-cultural context, while adapting to the globalized sectors of textiles, clothing, accessories and luxury. Linguistic skills are also an asset to pursue Master studies abroad or for their first international professional experience.

Internship
Different contract types are possible for the internship:
- The paid internship: you will be paid by the business, under the status of intern. All internships exceeding a period of 2 months are paid.
- A part-time CDD or CDI: you are an employee of the business and work every day that you don’t have class. Your pay will depend on the conditions proposed by the business.

Application process
Admission to the ISAL takes place following study of an application file composed of:
- recent grades and report-cards following high-school studies (or equivalent to French Baccalauréat)
- recent grades and report-cards of latest studies, if post-high school
- a cover letter
If you have any of the following:
- documents, whether texts, drawings, designs or photos, that display interest or talent in artistic endeavors
- a recommendation letter, if you have experience in fashion
- all language test results that you may have
(English IELTS/TOFEL, French TEF/TCF or the relevant tests depending on the language)
