Apprenticeship contract: Objective

The apprenticeship contract is a employment contract which is based on the principle of alternating between initial training at school and vocational training in the company with which the apprentice has signed a contract. The aim is to acquire a professional qualification through a state-recognized diploma.

Duration of the apprenticeship contract

12, 18, 24 months (depending on the program) in the following format:
4 days in the workplace / 1 day in class

The capprenticeship contract can begin up to 3 months before the start date of classes. It ends at the earliest after the final exams.

Target audience

The young people aged 16 to 29 gone.

Benefits for the employer

  • 6,000 euros assistance for an employee on an apprenticeship contract.
  • Full exemption (fewer than 11 employees) or partial employer contributions up to 78% of the minimum wage.
  • Apprentices are not included in the company's workforce figures.

Financing of the apprenticeship contract

The company contributes to the apprentice's training costs in conjunction with its OPCO (skills operator).

Apprenticeship contract remuneration

The company receives remuneration, paid by the employer and calculated as a percentage of the gross minimum wage or the gross minimum wage agreed for the sector. It varies according to the trainee's age and progress in the training cycle.
