Professionalization contract: Objective

Visit professionalization contract is a training contract on a fixed-term or open-ended sandwich course. The aim is to acquire a diploma, title or professional qualification.

Contract duration

12, 18, 24 months (depending on the program) in :
4 days on the job / 1 day on the course

Depending on the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement and the nature of the training. 150 hours minimum and a maximum of 25% of working time, raised to 50% for certain branches.

Target audience

Visit young people aged 16 to 25as well as jobseekers aged 26 and over.

Benefits for the employer

  • Hiring assistance:
    • 6,000 euros for an employee on a professionalization contract up to the age of 29.
    • Expenses related to tutoring.
  • Not included in the company's workforce.

Financing the professionalization contract

The branch's OPCO (Opérateur de Compétences) defines the rules and conditions for covering training costs, in line with branch agreements.

Remuneration for this type of contract

It depends on age and initial qualification level.

Branch agreements may provide for higher remunerations for the payment of a percentage of the gross SMIC or the gross conventional minimum wage.
